I was thinking of writing
a review of WebQuest on my blog today, but I changed my mind as I came across
some great reviews online. So, today I’ll be sharing the best review I found online
about WebQuest. I’ll also share some helpful links and interesting videos related to WebQuest.
So, first things first. . .
According to Bernie Dodge, a WebQuest is "an inquiry-oriented activity
in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from
resources on the Internet..."
Who is Bernie Dodge? He is the creator of WebQuest.
If you're interested in knowing about WebQuest from him, click on the below video.
If you're new to WebQuest and you’re keen on having a quick look at its
features and how it works, I highly recommend taking a look at this website.
Help! Where do I begin!?
This user-friendly website allows you to create WebQuests using some online tools without HTML codes or web editor software that might be headaches for some users. In short, Zunal.com walks you through a tutorial on creating your custom-designed WebQuest. This website also includes a vast archive of ready-made WebQuests in varieties of subject areas from languages to math and history. The pre-designed WebQuests are FREE to use and many include reviews by other users which I personally find really helpful.
- Tom March's Prewriting Your WebQuest
Before designing your WebQuest, you may want to have a structured outline handy to guide you through the process. Tom March's Prewriting Your WebQuest might be a good one to use in that sense. Various templates such as this one are available online. You can simply search on google to find your favorite.
I hope you find today's post helpful.
